How to Add Specific Featured Image/Thumbnail in Blogger?

A post without thumbnail is like a bird without wings. Post thumbnail describes your post in a beautiful manner and if it is eye-catchy then you will also get more visitors on that particular post. A post thumbnail is an image which tells visitors about the exact topic you are going to cover in that post. By default, Blogger post editor fetches the first image as the featured image but you can customize it accordingly to your choice. So, In this tutorial, I am going to show you how you can easily set a specific thumbnail as the featured thumbnail in your blogger blog posts.

The featured post thumbnail is very essential also because it is shown in your sidebar widgets like Popular Posts, Recent Posts and so on. So, choosing it wisely can bring more professional looks to your blog.

How to Upload Image in Blogger Post Editor? :

To add a feature image in blogger posts, simply go to Blogger ›› New Posts  ›› and tap "Insert Image" button which will open up an image uploading wizard. You can use that to upload any image from your computer or you can also add an existing image from your Google Album Archive.

After uploading the image, Do a right click on that and Copy Image Address or you can select “Edit HTML” tab from the top left corner and copy the complete URL of the image which would somewhat look like as it can be seen below:

No matter, where the image lies in your blog post, you just need the image URL to set it as featured image. 

Adding Featured Image in Blogger:

After getting the image URL, you just need to add the following code in HTML tab of Post Editor. 

<img src="image-URL" style="display:none;">

• Replace image-URL with the URL of the image you copied in above steps.
• Make sure you add this code at the beginning in HTML tab of Post Editor.
